Climbing Window 2.0

Embedded Fitness is also working on innovations for exercise education.

An Industrial Design student at TU Eindhoven was given the internship assignment of turning Janssen-Fritsen’s traditional climbing frame into an interactive climbing frame. The photo below shows Daan Hommersom replacing the clamping rings on the climbing frame with clamping rings with (infrared) sensors and lights to create an exergame. In this way, there are dozens of new/interactive games to play on the climbing frame to innovate the gym class in a fun way and achieve traditional learning goals in a new way.  In collaboration with experts in the field of movement education, this initial concept is being further developed and tested.
