Sportinnovator Event XL; experience sport innovation in practice!

On Tuesday, December 11, the Sportinnovator Event XL will take place at the Cars Jeans stadium in The Hague. The Sportinnovator Event XL is an initiative of the Top Team Sport, implemented by ZonMw, and is the national meeting place where representatives from science, government, sport and business not only exchange knowledge, but above all make new connections.

Program
Sportinnovator offers you an exciting plenary program with keynote speakers discussing various current topics from the world of sports, inspiring and informing you about big data, expectations for the future and collaboration, among others.

Keynote speakers Sarina Wiegman, (voted best coach of a women’s team in 2017) and Peter Blangé (performance and innovation manager at the KNVB) will talk about the interpretation of big data in the sports world. Inge Stoter (manager Innovation Lab Thialf) and Alexander Bloemers (CEO Imbema Group) give a clear picture of the successful cooperation between sports and business in sports innovations. Director General of Public Health, Angelique Berg, will elaborate on the ambitions of the VWS in the field of sports innovations in the Netherlands.

There are also in-depth, practical parallel sessions from experts in the field. These parallel sessions provide a good overview of the latest initiatives around sports innovation in the Netherlands in areas such as nutrition, vitality, injury prevention, data, and exercise with disabilities.

Embedded Fitness is also present at this, of course. Director Carla Scholten , for example, will host her own session during the first round at 11:30. The session offers insight into the importance of innovation and new technologies in the area of improving (learning) performance and movement of young people. In doing so, it outlines how innovations are tested, scaled up and implemented.

During these sessions there will also be room for answering questions. There is also the opportunity to experience innovations first-hand in the “Innovation Play Corner.
